Rempeyek fever!

Selamat Hari Raya everybody!

When you go house-visiting during this very special occasion its normal to serve the visitors delicious kuih or cookies/biscuits/delicacies and some type of crackers like the more modern keropok pedas or the more traditional rempek.

Now I’m not much of a kuih guy since I haven’t got nice delicate hands so really I don’t have the patience and skill to bake those delicious cookies. Instead, this dude kept his butcher hands where it’s meant to rock; the stove and this is the result! Delicious, crunchy Rempeyek!
